Gulf War: Operation Desert Storm with the Ghost F-117
The Gulf War was the first post-Cold War international crisis, and the United States did nearly all of the fighting against Iraq in spite of having Coalition Force from 34 nations. The video clip contains a short live footage news of early hours of January 17, 1991 in the beginning of Operation Desert Storm. This was the First Air Strike by F-117 Stealth Bombers to destroy the Iraqi air force and anti-aircraft facilities. As mentioned in the video, it was the first major combat for F-117A’s.
This video clip is taken from the Youtube posted by BongHitBrian on May 26, 2008 titling “First Strike Gulf War Air Campaign 1991”. There are no credentials posted to this video, but it is assumable that it was a part of a live news telecast .

Israeli-Palestinian Agreement September 13, 1993
On September 13, 1993, Yitzhak Rabin and Yasser Arafat signed a peace agreement sponsored by United States.
This event was important because it showed United States leadership in the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. Although the agreement generated a lot of hope, time has showed that the conflict is still not resolved.

Collapse of Communism & Victory of Capitalism
This video is from YouTube, and its official name is “Collapse of the Soviet Union 1991.” It was posted in online in January 23, 2008 by kennedy27126 and under the category of “NHD Conflict and Compromise.” This video shows that how the Soviet Union brakes into small independent nations at end of the Cold war. Actually this war was between communism vs capitalism. The concept of communism was well established in the Soviet Union, and capitalist countries wanted to demolish the practicing of communism in the powerful nation such as Soviet Union. So the U.S.A and other capitalist countries tried to break the strength of a communist nation, and they were able to break the ties of Soviet nation.

Centennial Olympic Park bombing
This video was posted in Youtube by logancrawford in May 21, 2007. This video actually is a part of 5 EyeWitness News. The Centennial Olympic Park bombing was a terrorist bombing on July 27, 1996 in Atlanta, Georgia during the 1996 Summer Olympics. Two people died and 111 people were injured.
This event is very important because this event seems like a warning of torrorism. If the United States took this event more seriously and maintained higher national security, maybe such an event like 9/11 would not had happened. This shows how we should pay more attention for those small events and take it seriously so that we can prevent worse thing to be happened in future. Preventing beforehand is definitely better than fixing afterwards.

Prediciton of the Subprime Crisis in 1999
The Glass-Steagall Act was repealed in 1999. Since the act was repealed, banks could now combine their commercial banking and their investment banking activities. Banks such as Citi and insurance firms like AIG were heavily investing in risky securities such as mortgage back securities and collateralized debt obligations. The mortgage back securities are what fueled the subprime mortgage crisis.
Senator Byron Dorgan was one of the few congressmen to vote against repealing the act. In this video, the senator predicts what will happen if the act is repealed. He correctly predicts the notion of “too big to fail.” This is when a firm gets so large, that its financial troubles will effect the entire United States economy. In order to prevent a financial disaster, this large firm is bailed out by the government. We saw this when AIG and countless other financial institutions were bailed out.

Mike Tyson Bites Ear Off
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LuA4fLnG0Ig&feature=related
This event was in June, 1997.
Mike Tyson‘s boxing license is suspended for at least a year and he is fined $3 million for biting Evander Holyfield‘s ear in a televised match.
In the interview with Oprah, Tyson said “‘I know I can’t beat you and you don’t have to knock me out this time to beat me.” When he told Oprah he bit Holyfield because he was pissed off because he was such a great fighter, he couldn’t have been more honest
Tyson was an all time great boxer. I was shocked by his behavior. What a shame!
