Who wins?

I think this is interesting because it questions whatever history has been laid forward by people wanting us to believe their version of the stories. They decided to ignore and skip some important information simply cause it somehow could have jeopardized the idea the “reconciliationists” wanted the world to have on certain matters. Sadly, books don’t always speak the truth.

Many  important matters have been excluded which were worth remembering and many received respect not deserved. And some didn’t receive the honor they had earned because of the way the books told the stories. It is easy to tell that David Blight is a huge fan of this book because he supported it throughout and further highlighted on how history only speaks one side of the story, with distortions and biases. He regrets that Blight couldn’t bring the book up to the present, and he emphasizes on the importance of knowing where the stories are coming from.
