On the evening of May 21st, 1927, Charles Lindbergh made history. He became the first man to fly across the atlantic ocean alone; a feat he completed in 33 1/2 hours. Although I could not find out when the original video was produced, I know that this clip is part of a dvd movie released in June of this year by the Timeless Media Group studio. The 5 minute clip covers different aspect of Lindbergh’s flight and success from the take off and landing, the 100,000 people ticker tape parade and even Lindbergh’s reception of President’s Coolidge’s Congressional Medal of Honor. Linbergh’s success not only brought him fame and honor but also inspired enthusiastic interest in aviation in the years to follow.
