This is a primary document produced during World War II that characterized the war as a “Good War” for Americans. This poster was definitely pro-war and the author believed they were fighting for a good cause. The authors objective in this propaganda poster was to get young males to join the army. The techniques used are Uncle Sam is shown looking tough and confident, also saying “you” may make people feel more directly contacted with the poster. This objective was achieved because it is still a very popular pro-war sign today.
