If the Marshall Plan had never been passed, the Soviet Union may have succeeded in taking over all of Germany and evicting the US, Britain, and France, who had their foothold in Berlin. The Soviet takeover of Berlin could have caused the Soviets to gain extreme power, resources and factories in which to make weapons. Therefore, the Soviets may have succeeded in using the atomic bomb on the US, thus removing the country from the globe or perhaps the mere threat would force the US to surrender, causing the future generation of US citizens to be born under Soviet control.
