Administrative Intern Position Available at The TEAK Fellowship

The TEAK Fellowship is currently seeking applicants for the position of part-time Administrative Intern. TEAK is a privately funded not-for-profit organization that helps talented New York City students from low-income families gain admission to and succeed at top high schools and colleges. Along with academic preparation and support, TEAK provides leadership training, exposure to the arts and outdoors, mentoring, career experiences, and assistance with the high school and college application processes.

Education and Experience

• Currently attending college or recent college graduate
• Relevant administrative and clerical experience
• Previous experience in an office setting is a plus

Key Competencies

• Strong writing and communication skills
• Strong computer skills and knowledge of office software packages
• Comfort using a database
• High attention to detail and commitment to a high level of accuracy
• Ability to effectively and efficiently manage multiple projects
• Positive attitude and adaptability
• An interest in TEAK’s mission

Review of applications will begin immediately for a tentative start date of mid-September 2015. Part-time schedule would be Monday through Fridays. Salary is $12.00/hr.
