About the Hybrid History Project

Having spent a year developing a hybrid survey class, I decided to share some of the discoveries that I made along the way. Starting in February 2016 I will be writing a weekly blog in which I identify online sources that might be useful for hybrid and online teaching at the undergraduate level, particularly an introductory survey class on Europe in the World. In my posts I will also suggest ways to develop assignments using these sources.

Through this blog I hope to expand my own horizons as well as provide a resource for other historians developing hybrid classes and facing a similar set of questions, namely: How do I integrate the rich array of online sources available to students into my class in a way that encourages them to think historically, develop research skills, and promotes intellectually inquiry and debate?  There is a lot out there on the web and freely available so it should be an interesting year!
