The “Assignments” tab on this site is constructed using a category. There is an “Assignments” category and any post that is categorized under “Assignments” will feed into this area/tab.

A professor can utilize the WordPress category feature to create different areas of the site dedicated to different topics, here “Assignments”.  When a professor wants to post instructions or updates about an assignment, he or she can write a post about the assignment, categorize the post as an “Assignment” and it will automatically be filtered to this area of the site under the Assignments tab in the menu.
