Hello everyone!

My name is Jaelyn Velasquez. I am currently a freshman at Baruch College, where I intend to major in accounting. I was born and raised in the Bronx, New York, and I am Puerto Rican and Honduran. Living in a city as diverse as New York City has allowed me to understand and interact with individuals of different cultures. I am so grateful to have had this experience because it taught me the importance of embracing my own culture. I developed an interest in business in high school through an internship at Fola Financial. I learned the basics of starting a business and the importance of managing finances, which influenced my decision to study business, more specifically, accounting. At seventeen, I began my own nail business, and in my free time, I enjoy shopping, discovering, and sharing music.
