5. We All Have Judged People Once a Time in Life

As part of my research, I created a survey online to ask people about their knowledge about body shaming. There are total of 51 participants who participated in the survey. 82.4% participants are women and 17.6% are men. My survey shows 88.2% of participants have judged other people, 39.2% of participants have no idea of body shame, 94.1% received judgment about their appearance and body shape form others, and 45.1% of the participants are negatively impacted by the judgment they have received. They felt anxious, depressed, and lost confidence. (Huang.J, personal communication, September 8,2020).The above statistics show women are judged by others frequently and interestingly that they also judged other people based on their appearance and body shape. The comment people received has impacted their mental health. We all make mistakes and the point is we shouldn’t make the same mistake again. Next time we shouldn’t judge people based on their appearance. Moreover, many participants don’t have any idea about body shame.  It is important to educate people and motivate them to love their body. While educating people about body shaming it is important to teach them the causes of the problem.
