The making of this powerpoint has taught us about the different features of powerpoint, especially the feature of adding our voice to it and narrarating the presentation. We tried 3 different ways to put our presentation online and only found one way to do it, they are as follows:
1. SlideShare was our first option which did not work out for us becuase it said that our presentation was too large of a file to upload on their site for free.
2. RocketSlide was our second option in which we were able to get the slides up but the issue with that was our recorded voices were not able to play because we think they were different format. We tried to record directly on the website using their voice record feature but it turned out you have to have a premium account to do that so we moved on.
3. Leawo Powerpoint to video converter was our third option. Leawo was not one of the options Professor Kumar suggested but we felt was the best and easiest option because we downloaded the trial version and jus uploaded our presentation onto it and in 6 minutes it converted our powerpoint to video form and therefore we were able to upload it to YouTube, the whole process took 10 minutes.
The topic was very interesting! I have seen that to some people you are not official til its on facebook. I feel that it is an announcement, every time you change it, therefore I always block that portion. I do agree that the medium of choice does mean something and should be considered. I choose not to show my martial status because I do not like publicizing any personal stuff, nor am I into PDA, therefore my medium is not a broadcasting platform such as Facebook.
