We have Yessenia, who likes to be called Jessie. She was born and raised in the South Bronx and now lives in Queens with her family. Jessie has a 5yr. old daughter named Kaitlyn . Jessie’s family is from Puerto Rico and her husband is from Haiti. Together they make an intense fiery couple with different tastes in food, music, and dance. Jessie strides to making a better future for herself and family by achieving her main goal and graduating next spring. Like every parent, Jessie wants to provide a better life for her daughter and offer her possibilities that she never knew existed. Jessie’s secret passion is writing poetry for her loving husband and beautiful daughter who are her inspiration.
There’s Ivan, a Brooklyn native entering his 3rd year here at Baruch College majoring in Journalism with an intense passion for baseball and video games. Once a finance major, he realized he was wasting his time sleeping through all these accounting and finance classes and went on to pursue his dream to become a baseball writer. He eats, breathes and sleep pinstripes with infamous New York Yankees navy blue blood flowing through his veins. With a very festive background from the Dominican Republic, he has a very distinct liking in food and music and will sure bring a unique sense of style to the group.
Thierry is an aspiring writer who loves food, cars, overpriced alcohol, tasteless humor and lives for the crassness of modern life. Originally an international finance major, Thierry quickly grew bored of the soul crushing idea of counting numbers and writing letters in order live the extravagant life he had seen on MTV once. So he decided to major in journalism in the hopes of getting others to pay for his expensive meals, satisfy his unquenchable thirst for micro-brewed beer and satisfy his inner wanderlust by writing about insanely fast cars.
