For 74-year-old jewelry designer, Raquel Jarosevschi, art not only imitated life, it became one, hers. Shortly after emigrating from Brazil to New York in 1965, she worked with people in the jewelry business and taught herself how to design and manage the business. The owners retired in 1975 and it became her own. 37 years later, Raquel’s Jewelry is still her own, with Jarosevschi’s classical tastes spotted in every gemstone laid in her glass cases and heard in every note of music played on her grand piano.
