THESE DEADLINES ARE WRITTEN IN STONE. FAILURE TO MEET THEM WILL RESULT IN SIGNIFICANT DROP IN GRADES:

Friday, Nov. 15 by 3 p.m.: First draft of your written story (800-1,000 words) on a Word document double-spaced emailed to [email protected]. I will return first edits the next week and you will be expected to do rewrites and likely additional reporting based on my comments.

Monday, Nov. 18: Come to class with multimedia files READY to begin production on one of your multimedia features — either video or second feature (photo slideshow, audio slideshow, podcast, interactive map). YOU MUST COME PREPARED TO BEGIN PRODUCTION WORK.

Monday, Dec.  2: Come to class with multimedia files ready to begin production on the other multimedia feature that you haven’t completed yet.

Monday, Dec. 9: Entire project is posted to the blog by the beginning of class. I will distribute additional directions the first week of December for posting. Be prepared to present your project to the class.
