“The NY Rangers hold on, to win a close one in Tampa”

The NY Rangers came into the Saturday night’s game with a disappointing 3-4 record following a loss to their division rivals the Pittsburgh Penguins the previous Thursday. This is a very substandard start for a team which going into the season was favored by many to compete for the Stanley cup. But with the win this Saturday against the very talented and well coached Tampa Bay Lightning team the Rangers have gained some much needed confidence. With this win in hand the Rangers hope to turn their season around, a season which some feared was quickly slipping through their fingers.

“Who are anonymous, and, are they good or bad”?
Anonymous are self-proclaimed “hacktivists”, which is a combination of the two words, hacker and activist. In public all members wear a white mask with holes only for the eyes, nose and mouth, so their identity is kept a secret. As can be seen in this video, there is no individual or group which determines what project Anonymous will take on, rather anyone may suggest an idea and if enough people deem the matter important, then further action is taken. Many advocates of the group call this the only true democracy in the world. Much of what Anonymous does is illegal, things such as hacking the websites of MasterCard and PayPal, but instead of obeying the law, they stand for the freedoms of the people as a whole. The types of institutions that they most often come into conflict with are intrusive government regulations and big corporations that on the surface seem to put themselves far above the common man. As to whether they are good or bad for society that is for you to decide.

“The Superdome gets a well-deserved makeover”
http://www.nytimes.com/interactive/2013/02/01/sports/superdome-timeline.html?ref=multimedia#/#time236_7013
The Superdome is a Stadium in New Orleans that was built in 1975 and since has played host to countless sporting events both on a professional and on a collegiate level. In addition, the Superdome was also used as a shelter for those who fled from the destruction of hurricane Katrina. And as one might expect, time has taken its toll on the building, so in 2011 renovations costing in the area of $85 million were made to not only repair what once was, but to also add luxuries such as additional seats, bathrooms and dining areas.
