For the final project, I would like to do a piece about how Howard Beach has recovered or is still recovering from Hurricane Sandy. The area was hit hard by the storm and suffered massive flooding. Some businesses have managed to reopen but others- some of which were there for decades and were staples of the community- have gone out of business.

I would interview business owners and employees, as well as residents.
