I wasn’t able to post my topic beforehand, but the topic I’m most considering is highlighting an art gallery that is showcasing at the Armory Show for the first time. The Armory Show, an annual contemporary and modern art fair hosted at the Chelsea Piers, is this weekend. II already had plans to attend, and I was hoping I could find it information about and up and coming gallery. I would like to take the perspective of life “post-Armory” to determine if awareness raised at the Armory created a higher turnover of traffic and/or profit. Since there are hundreds of galleries showcasing, and I do not want to have to go up to each one one by one to see if this is their first time, I wanted to try to get someone involved with the putting the fair together.

My art professor last year was connected with someone of the board of directors at the Armory. I emailed her asking if she could connect me with him and I am still waiting on her response. I have also emailed the managing director, Deborah Harris, and she has yet to respond as well. I imagine it will be difficult to get in touch with one of them since the Armory show is this weekend, making it a very busy week for them.
