I spoke with Arielle from Pinalito Restaurant. This is one of the many Dominican restaurants along Clinton Street. A Lower East Side native, he recently took over this tiny, corner restaurant, but he has kept the kitchen staff the preserve the integrity of the food.
Known by many of the locals as the best Domincan food in the area, they have recently added a bar to adapt to the interchanging demographic of the neighborhood. Now that the L.E.S. has become a trendy spot, he also occasionally switches the from the usual salsa, bachata music music to hip-hop and r&b to cater to a more American crowd. Although he has kept all of the items from the original menu, he has expanded the menu.
