It seems like a perfect scenario, a deserted area becomes a prime real estate location, with a large amount of modernized apartment buildings bringing hundreds of new residents, which ultimately means an abundance of money. Not only is it establishing itself in a residential aspect, but it is also generating a lot of businesses to conquer it’s once empty plots of land. This is what is happening along Manhattan’s West Side, and though it may be beneficial economically speaking, long-term residents have seen the changes occurring in the area and have a more grim look on the results of it, Laura Rossi investigates.
