Welcome to Pelham Bay, the safest area on the Bronx! Pelham Bay is rich in history and dates back to the 13 colonies. Even the streets are named Pilgrim St. and Hutchinson Ave. The neighborhood is home to hundreds of Italians, Irish, Greek, German, and including a small portion of Hispanics and Asians. Most of these people were born in the area and have not left since then. Pelham Bay is also famous for its bakeries and multicultural shops. Pelham Bay Park has become a tourist site because of its simplicity and large park area. Because of this park, Pelham Bay got its name.
