Use at least two source documents which you intend to rely upon in your Assignment 3. The first purpose of this assignment is so that you can better understand your topic. The second purpose is to understand how your author(s) structured their claims and piece as whole. Think about the narrative conventions, rhetorical appeals we have spoken about. This is a comparative analysis, so your essay must examine the points of similarity, points of divergence. Choose at least three conventions, appeals, to analyze (compare and contrast). I’m less interested in the substantive arguments (assume that I am no expert in your subject area) than the way your text is structured, the way in which arguments are presented, how these decisions speak to the overall internal coherence of the piece.

Your essay must provide a clear thesis, a concise summary of your texts, and at least three body paragraphs of analysis.
