Hi my name is Justin Li, I was born and raised in Brooklyn and I am a first year attending Baruch College where I am majoring in Marketing Management. Prior to coming to Baruch I attended a public High school called Brooklyn Studio Secondary School. Like many families my parents were also immigrants who came to America in search of a better future which contributed to the reason why I wanted to be in a business major, My family isn’t rich and I constantly worry about our financial situation along with my parents health. My father works as a truck driver and has always worked long hour and sometimes comes back home late at night, in order to ease my families finical worries I decided to be enroll in Baruch College and aim for a degree in Marketing. Reason why I choose Marketing is because I realized that it was an essential part of business. Without Marketing people would have never known what the product or brand a company is trying to show. Think of marketing as a jump starter for a company trying to thrive. It lets the world know the company’s intention and what they are trying to sell to the people. I want to learn more skills that will help me improve myself and my career. The thing I like to do in my spare time is playing video games and hanging out with friends.
