Above are advertisements that have been unsuccessful. all three of these advertisements have not shown me their meaning. An advertisement is sup[pose to say something to it viewers without words and none of these do this.
The first image I was very confused why the lady had a white paste all over her hair and it wasn’t until I looked at the tiny font that I noticed that it was suppose to look like glue. In my opinion it looked like a bird had pooped on her head and that had nothing to do with this advertisement.
For the next two pictures they both have still left me to be confused. What are they trying to tell me? what is their purpose? These are not questions that people should be thinking about when they see and advertisement. In my opinion when people view a picture or an ad they should be left with an idea or purpose of it.
These last three images are successful ads in my eyes. their colors work with one another, I can see a concept and I enjoy viewing them. I believe that anyone that sees these ads can tell what they are for and understand where the creator was trying to go with it.
In the first image I felt that it was very creative for the designer to do that with the fork. It show the viewer that it is for a place that has to do with rock and roll as well are food. Being an advertisement for The Hard Rock Cafe it really showed the audience what their brand it about and that is what an advertisement is suppose to do.
As for the Tide image I thought that it was funny, cleaver, eye catching, interesting, and very creative. I love this advertisement because it shows the audience that is about cleaning those messy stains and that it is not a problem for them. It is genius!
My final ad is about the winter collection of Essie nail polish. I think that this works because the white background helps the colors to pop and shows views what nice colors they have. It is simple and colorful and gets their point across which is why this is a image that actually works.
