Bad Design
This sign outside of a Chelsea business is in my opinion a bad design. This sign is displaying two completely different information in one little space. I also believe that the two different typefaces do not work well together.
This is the best example of the worst design…EVER! This “designer” decided to use three different typefaces and used different styles. I don’t think it’s a good idea to use italic or any handwritten typefaces in a billboard because it is not easy to read.
I don’t necessarily think this is a horrible design because it is not. The reason why I chose this sign as an example of bad design is because of their use of color. They used way too many colors which I find to be distasteful.
Good Design
This one is obviously an awesome design! Not only did Target do a great job by repeating their logo all over the train cars but it is visually captivating as well. A great change from the boring silver trains.
Nokia did a great job with their subway advertisement because it is start to the point. People are usually in a hurry, walking pretty fast and usually don’t have time to stop and read the ad. However, as you walk past this ad, you are able to read the entire thing without slowing down.
Putting advertisements on the ground is great idea. This appears to be located at a subway so while people wait for their train, they have no choice but to look at this ad.
