About This Blog

I started this blog thinking I wanted to research the evolution of reading throughout history. However, I soon realized that this topic was too broad and wasn’t the right fit for me. After some searching, I decided to research social media and how it distracts us more and more in the modern age. What I found was interesting and disturbing at the same time because my research showed that as we use social media, it changes the way our brains work. I focused more on how notifications and the emphasis on short thought processes has changed us because it seemed more relevant. I’ll even admit that as I was writing my paper on how social media distracts us, I surfed Twitter and FaceBook quite a few times.
