Let The Festivities Begin
My twin brother attended the event and gave a first hand account of how the
nightwent.Only about 100
people, who were all close to the super producer, were allowed to attend,and although the invite read: “dress ready to paint,” the guests were still dressed semi-formal.

dance floor was hot as my brother got a dance with Beyonce’. Afterward he went to the outdoor section to have a
cigar and talk with Jay-Z one-on-one.

The Opening night brought famous people such as former basketball player Magic Johnson, fashion designer Tory Burch. To celebrate the evening a concert

performed by rapper Jay-Z was given. Jay-Z is also a percentage owner of the stadium which houses the Brooklyn Nets.
The evening was reported as peaceful. Fans from all over came to the Barclays Center which is located on Flatbush Avenue and Atlantic Avenue. The center is going to have concerts by Barbra Streisand October 11th and 13th, Justin Bieber November 12th and for the children, Disney on Ice Rockin’ Ever After, November 27th-Dec 2nd. The game season for the Brooklyn Nets will begins November 1st with Brooklyn Nets vs. New York Knicks.

We had a fantastic discussion in Professor Bridgett Davis’s “Journalistic Blogging” course about how and why we use different interfaces. Why use Tumblr instead of WordPress? Why Blogger and not Blackboard? While some of these choices may have straightforward answers, it’s interesting, and I think, important, to consider not only which platforms are best suited to our needs, but to observe and learn from the ways in which our platform choices shape and guide our content. Lifehacker has a great article on the basics of several platforms that is a useful starting point for engaging some of these questions.

Emily and I have been Multi-Media Fellows for approximately 2 hours. In that time, we’ve met multiple faculty members, including those we’ll be supporting this fall; had one very detailed meeting with the staff, and each launched a blog. We also managed to each complete a raft of paperwork and down some much-needed caffeine. If this is any indication, it’s going to be a busy, exciting, and productive semester.
