People will not be able to have fast transportation due to political issues
President Obama has been trying to implement a new train system in the parts of the United States, where they are needed. But, due to arguments with the Republican party, the idea was shot down. It wasn’t because it was a bad idea, many members in the Republican party were supporting the idea of Electro-Magnetic Trains (or MagLevs) into the Unied States. The problem was due to political issues between President Obama and the Republicans, and how the trains are funded. President Obama wanted to use 8 billion dollars, which was part of his stimulus plan, to upgrade railways for the United States. Unfortunately, due to the 2010 midterm elections, many Republicans took power in those states and withdrew a great deal of money from the Stimulus Plan. In the end, the wants and needs for better transportation, (moving at speeds of above 280 m/h), is cancelled.
