Adeli Suit Therapy

The adeli suit is a suit that was originally used by astronauts in an effort to maintain their muscles in outer space. Due to the lack of gravity, the astronauts require some resistance in order to prevent them from becoming weak from lack of exercise. When this suit is used on earth in combination with our gravitational pull, it helps patients with brain injuries use muscles that they do not ordinarily use. This suit pulls the patient down and increases the gravitational pull that they feel when performing various exercises, walking and stretching. The suit is used with a variety of different equipment such as walkers, crutches, parallel bars.
