I feel that your question is rather vague. What do you mean by Google’s database of books? Are you referring to Google Books or another book related service? You should also specify what types of books are being used by Google users. Also, what do you mean by publicized? Google is limited to how much of the book can be viewed before the user is required to pay because of copyright.

  2. First off i like the fact that you have a question that has nothing to do with Google’s privacy policies. I’m not too sure where you’re going with this question though. Are you looking into the effect the expansion of e books is going to have on libraries, or do you have something else in mind. Also I would be careful with the wording of the question. Your idea might have been clear in your thoughts but lost in translation through your words.

    Hope this helps

  3. David and Amanda have done a good job of pointing out the language that is too vague in your question. Nobody else is doing a question that related to Google Books; I’m eager to see how you develop it. There are a lot of great questions that you can ask about it. The tricky problem with Google Books as the topic of a research question right now is that the service we can now see and use is hobbled by a failed effort (as of the moment) to come to an agreement with a handful of major publishers and an authors group that would let the service open up in a way that Google has long envisioned.
