Oh look at that, no one picked on you. This question unlike the first draft question picks a specific feature of Google in relevance to the distribution of information of that feature. However, a user’s search information is all dependent on the user and the results depend on whether you are signed into Gmail, previous searches or related links to your friends as we have learned in class the past couple of days. So you might want to specify which Google users if it gives you more precise results, if not then I think Google users is a fair game. Also, there are millions of advertising companies so you might want to specify which ones, maybe the free advertisements or the paid advertisements and how the usage of Google Adwords plays an important role in this topic. Hopes this helps ! Good luck !
Helder, following up on our conversation in class yesterday, let’s see if you can find a question related to information that Google gathers about you so that it can more precisely target ads at you. Given that Google doesn’t sell or share its own data about users with outside companies, your question here won’t work. Please email me or speak to me before or after class about your latest thinking about the question.
