Hey Chris. I really like your new revised research question. I read your previous question regarding Google AdSense in the United States and after reading your new question, I can see a clear improvement. You have focused in on one topic, Google Docs, and also still have a specific country, United States. Additionally, I noticed that you know also further specified Google AdSense to relate to the sales of Microsoft Word. Now that you have specific ideas you’ll be able to go in a more narrow direction rather than a general one. The only think that I would critique is the time frame. Is it safe to have a 2-year limit? That’s my only concern; other than that, good job on the new question Chris! =)
Hey Chris, I think this is a really good question. Google Docs has definitely made an impact on traditional word processors. It’s quite specific and I think you’ll be able to find a good amount of information on it. The only thing I would suggest is adding negative or positive (you can argue either, but negative is probably better) before influence so it’s even more specific. Good job so far, I hope this helps.
I just realized my phrasing was a bit awkward, so I’ll attempt to clarify. What I meant is just to specify the type of influence Google Docs have had – negative or positive. I hope that clears it up. Sorry for trouble!
Chris, nice job! I think “affected” is a better word here than “influenced.” The comments from Nafyal are helpful; it’s fair to assume that Google Docs has probably caused Microsoft to lose a few customers, so your question might be worded with that reasonable assumption (e.g., “cut into the sales of…” or “taken away customers from…”)
