I think you can be more specific. Maybe explain or focus on a single project? Is this a good impact that is being reduced? or bad? And there are many kinds of environmental factors that can be effected. Is it the carbon footprint? protecting wildlife? saving energy? etc. You can question if Google’s project really are reducing impact to the environment. Other than that I think you have a really interesting question.
There are many environmental factors in play and i agree with Yuna to be more specific on your research question. You could also specify where or near where in the United States that Google impacts.
I think it’s OK to look at their projects overall, but I’m not sure you’re going to find that much data or analysis that will help you make your case. I think some more interesting but still related questions are:
– What is the most important thing that Google should be doing to reduce its energy use in the United States?
– What is the most important thing that Google should be doing to lower its carbon footprint in the United States?
– Is Google doing more than Facebook or Microsoft to reduce its carbon footprint (or energy consumption) in the United States?
