Review of the Class
- What three things that you learned this semester about doing research have been the most useful to you (or are likely to be the most useful to you)? Please explain why for each of those things.
How to more efficiently use google. Like google history, better ways to search either using quotes and “and” and “or” and stuff like that. Thirdly, I thought that learning how to use databases was really important. - What is one thing that you wish we had spent more time covering in class or that we failed to get to in class? Why do you wish we had gotten to that?
I wish we could have gone over peer-reviewed, because I didn’t really get it and I did pretty horribly on the homework relating to it.

Class Activity for December 7
Write your own blog post here that answers these two questions:
- What three things that you learned this semester about doing research have been the most useful to you (or are likely to be the most useful to you)? Please explain why for each of those things.
- What is one thing that you wish we had spent more time covering in class or that we failed to get to in class? Why do you wish we had gotten to that?
Then, the class will be divided up into three-person groups. Members of each three person group will discuss how they answered the two questions. Then as a group they will decide how they will answer the two questions as a group. Those answers will be written up in a new blog post (one member of the team can do the typing and posting to the blog, but all members of the team should be listed by name in the blog post and should contribute to the creation of the post).

While you may find EasyBib a useful tool for helping you do citations, you should also have a basic understanding of how to do citations, as tools like EasyBib will often make mistakes or won’t catch your mistakes as you enter information.
