As of right now, my blog site is password protected. I did not go through specifics with my friends, so while they know it is for a class project and people will see it… I didn’t want the whole world to have access without their full permission.
I do not know if I would say it is ready for full publication. With the time I had to make the project, I think I followed through with the assignment. If I were to publish this as a creative piece for the world to see, I would probably want a lot more. I would consider talking to much more people, especially getting more people on the LGBTQIA spectrum because there is so much more to represent that I just did not have the opportunity of speaking to. Also, my first concept was doing a video blog. I think if I were to publish something on this topic, I would feel more confident with the video – just for the sake of audience. I am sure it is easier to get through to people if they don’t have to read pages upon pages. Still, I am proud of the way my blog turned out, and can only hope for a positive response.
In order to be most effective, my rhetorical strategies rely heavily on pathos and ethos. I want, if this were to be published, for people to be sympathetic and understanding to the personal experiences people share. Hopefully, they can relate, and if they can’t they can listen and support them. Also, ethos is incredibly important because I am outright saying my credibility is based on the fact that I am admitting my ignorance. People will have to be understanding to my stance on the issue, and while I attempt to educate others, I hope people will continue to help educate me.
