While i was reading John, i wondered why people who welcomed Jesus suddenly became crowds who tries to kill Jesus and mock him. When jesus came to Jerusalem, they said ” Hosanna! Blessed is the one who comes in the name of the Load”. After Jesus got arrested, Jesus went to the court. People even asked Pilate to relase Barabbas who was a bandit instead of Jesus.

I think that the reason people switched their views of Jesus so quickly was because of then need to fit in with everyone else. If there was a large group of people who believed one thing and suddenly one person stepped outside of that group to voice his/her opinion and it was different from the majority of the people in the group, then they would be seen as an outsider. To an extent, this is what Jesus did, and he immediately was seen as an outsider or a threat because he did not go with the mainstream beliefs at the time.
