In reply to: SThanhauser wrote a new post, Revising Attitudes, on the site The Graphic Novel and Beyond Why is it necessary to revise and how have you applied it to your own writing? -From Erica and Precious ViewRevision is an important step in the writing process because it allows us to improve on our writing and create better finished products. Considering our first rough draft is nowhere near perfect, it's important for us to at least have the base of our paper down and then improve on it through revising. We can pick up new ideas and perspectives that we may have missed when we initially constructed the paper. I've always found it overwhelming to write a first draft, because there's so much to write about and sometimes you can get lost in your thoughts and ideas. That's why I particularly enjoy revising because if I missed an important detail, I can add it on into my later drafts. I also like to read through my paper several times to ensure it has a nice flow and I can use the time to phrase things better or take out any unnecessary information.
