Your team did a good presentation. It is an important topic that we would need to use in the work force. It was also useful of your panels to prove examples of how teamwork is required in their sort of field. Some fields required teamwork and some did not rely on it as much. They gave some really good examples which can be life threatening and can even help them earn a greater profit. The possibilities of teamwork seem limitless and boundless, i can reference it better to works of life.
The only thing i believe you are missing for this blog is your opening statement, closing and key points which was stated in class.
The opening and closing statement as well as the key points will be up soon.
Your topic is really useful especially in today’s economy. People are not aware about the importance of teamwork. I think your panelists are perfect for the topic mainly because they all come from different work backgrounds. Utilizing all the different fields can help students see how important teamwork is. Great job!
I like this panel a lot because the speakers talked about team work in different industries. Eventhough there were differences in the type of skills needed according to the nature of the work; they all have in common the structure of team work. As leader, the most important thing in order to have your team to work in the same direction is to not only have a clear target but most importantly to recognize each member’s skills and ability and give them a task that would be suitable to their personality but also complementary to others members characteristics. Great Panel !!
The panel was put together very well. It was organized and had a good variety of speakers. The two people from the air force as well as the two people from student government played off each other in a very interesting way. They also demonstrated teamwork because since they worked together, they were able to elaborate more on each other’s responses. Everyone had their own experience involving teamwork because of the different fields that they worked in.
Teamwork is a very important topic especially in a work environment. It is important for everyone in the team to do their part and each contribute to the task.
Good Job guys!
I like the point for losing your ego. Myself, having a gigantic ego, have learned from past experiences that everyone does certain things certain ways, and my way, even though I prefer it, isn’t always best for everyone else. It’s about adapting to others needs and wants too.
When working at Starbucks for the first several months everyone I worked with stuck to their assigned job for that particular day. But in the past weeks people have been shifting around helping a little bit here and there when others get buried in work. Even a little bit helps. Everyone in our store is noticing a big difference in motivation levels and satisfaction.
Team #1 was my team. I felt that since we were the first group, we had to give a strong first example. In my opinion, this panel did a great job. What was confusing and actually made the classmates happy were the participation from the audience. To me, it was great to see the class participating so much during the panel event. Yet the panelists all kept composure and was able to maintain the flow of questions.
The topic for teamwork is something important for every aspect in business, and it doesn’t stop there. It is important in life in general. I believe that team #1 chose a great and interesting topic to discuss and showed a great example with a mix of panel speakers from different field of occupations.
I thought the way you guys diversified the panelists was excellent. We never think of teamwork as something which is particular to an industry, and by bringing people of all different professional backgrounds, you really drove home the point of the necessity of teamwork in every aspect of professional and personal life.
It was a very diverse panel which made it really interesting. The most interesting panelist was the Lieutenant because when most of us think of the work force we think of corporate America, while the Lieutenant showed a completely different view of what can be considered work. We always hear about the armed forces in Afghanistan and Iraq, but rarely ever do we hear a first-hand story of their training or what actually goes on.
I thought it was a really interesting presentation, but I say try to limit the amount of people in the panel. It’s always good to hear that teamwork is important in not just a business perspective, and how they all have to depend on each other no matter the situation.
I like the way your panel was put together. It had a lot different people from different jobs and I felt the speakers really brought the idea of teamwork together. I also thought the story from one of Military panelists was really interesting and it really represented teamwork when you had to try and keep your partner above the water. Even though many of the panelists were from different fields I thought that their advice was very helpful.
I liked it that your panel had speakers from so many different fields and to a surprise they all conveyed similar messages about teamwork. I especially enjoyed the panelists from US Army because that was just something so different then what the other panels had and we get to see how teamwork is important and extreme in that field. It was very interesting. Like someone stated Panel 1 did give a strong example. Great work!
I think that your panel was the perfect first panel because teamwork is something that ties everybody in the workplace, from people in the army to coworkers sitting in adjacent cubicles, together. Also, all of the students in the class could relate to the panel because we all just used teamwork to create our own panels! At first I thought that the stage was too crowded because there were about eight people sitting on one table, but in the end, every single one of them had an incredible story and input on how teamwork has affected them. I think that the most interesting panelist was Lieutenant Colonel John McElroy because he was a new type of speaker (not just someone who works in an office). I have never heard anyone speak about the army and navy, so i was very interested in what he had to say. I also liked the story that Sue Irukulla from AVI Fresh Food Systems Corp told us about George Bush wanting a different type of soda than what they had for him. It really showed how teamwork can really help solve a situation that seems impossible. Overall, I think that this panel was excellent and set a great example for the panels to come. Good work!
I think this was an awesome topic, and Lieutenant Colonel John McElroy and Major Paul Salas were, honestly, the highlight of the presentation. I guess it’s because of their literal definitions of teamwork; that you must support each other in the face of mortal danger. One criticism though is that I felt the experiences of these speakers were very divided, especially that of Sergey Kuznetsov who doesn’t utilize teamwork very much in his profession. Overall, I think I and everyone most enjoyed the two soldiers’ stories of teamwork most!
I have to give you guys major support not only was your teamwork topic exceptional I also believe you guys did a job even though you first. You brought people from different types of work and industries and they told us how teamwork effects everyday life. Very good panel I really appreciate a fresh topic to listen to.
It goes without saying, that going first always has a unique kind of pressure, and I think that you guys dealt with it very well. Teamwork is definitely essential in any environment, and I enjoyed the various views on this topic. You guys did a great job showing the importance of proper interaction and teamwork in many different fields. Your selection of panelists proved a very important point- that sometimes in order to succeed and stand out in today’s competitive world, we need to look for inspiration and knowledge outside of the field that we are in. For example, it is true that the military is based around teamwork, and I genuinely enjoyed listening to their ways of thinking and examples. I also liked the fact that you supported your topic by bringing segments of teams rather than all separate individuals. Overall, very good job guys!

Good job! I think teamwork is very important to most of working environment, especially in the field of business. Ths presentation and topic are good and useful. speakers dressed their uniform to the panel, it’s cool and fit to the topic. They did prove examples of how teamwork is required in their sort of field. And some really good examples which can be life threatening and can even help them earn a greater profit. Actually, I think some of the key points are some good and meaningful, such as, “Kill your ego.” we should try to listen the teammates’ opinion. ” Be flexible to deal with challenges when things happen unexpectedly” and “Make sure you fulfill your own responsibilities and help others fulfill theirs.” I think it’s very significant when working in any field. I learn more about teamwork from this presentation and i should be take these references to work better in group, make a good teamwork.
The theme of the panel was great. Everywhere we decide to go in life we are going to have to deal with people and work with them directly or indirectly so teamwork capabilities are essential. This group had a large variety of speaker and I believe that was a strength for the panel because we had the opportunity to listen to the experiences of different professional in very different fields.
Great job on the panel. I enjoyed listening to each and every speaker, especially Sergey Kuznetsov, AXA Advisors, LLC. He gave good pointers on teamwork. Things such as team management, how to properly designate responsibilities between team members and knowing when to acquire a teammate to help you successfully complete your task. Also he made pointers on knowing your weaknesses and having your team mates help you out when you need them the most. If you are skilled at one area and your team member is skilled at other, combining both of your skills will help you achieve your task in the best manner.
I really enjoyed this panel and you guys did an excellent job. The wide array of speaker backgrounds was definitely a plus and helped get a more accurate picture of teamwork in several fields of work. I was particularly impressed by the examples of teamwork under extreme conditions that Lieutenant Colonel John McElroy brought up. I only wish we had a little more time to access more of the valuable knowledge that the speakers had to offer.
The thing I really like about your panel is the fact it was so diverse. I really like the mix of speakers. To have people from the military, students, a person from the corporate world, and a person in the service industry was such a unique mix. The fact that your topic was teamwork was really nice to show regardless of your position in whatever organization, teamwork is essential. Very fun group to listen to and the stories they had were funny and informative. Great job guys!
This panel presentation was well organized. Being based on teamwork was a wonderful idea. Just as you had panelist from all fields such as military, finance, student government, and food industry, workwork applies to everything. There are times where there is a difference between working in a team and working as a team and your panelists provided great and well thoughtout answers to the questions asked.
You guys raised the bar with your panel. Very well put together. Have the lieutenant Colonel John McElroy and Major Paul Salas from the Air Force to demonstrate teamwork was a perfect example. The lieutenants example of team work using snorkeling gear where they are placed in the water to be able to work together to pass air was a good example. How better to show an example than in the real world? Had a decent amount of panelists but they were all given a chance to talk in the timely manner. It was unfortunate the panelists kept getting cut off by students with questions but it still made it a successful panel overall, great job.
The speakers that you guys brought in had some very interesting points and were very informative. The air force emphasizes alot on teamwork so the two from there definitely stepped up and worked off one another. It is important to know how different occupations work in the real world so having a variety of speakers was nice as it gave us more exposure.
