Coke was the 1980s drug of choice of “live to work” young professionals with more money than free time. Their schedules were intense and packed and stressful. Coke made them more intense, high strung, etc. etc. etc. In a way, our phones do that too. We can’t “turn off” as long as our phones keep us “plugged in.” Very interesting.
