Wi-Fi Invading Subways

For the millions of New Yorkers who ride the subway daily, internet access is somewhat of a premium. Very few subway stations have wireless service, and the service that is available is little more than a happy accident, and is often quite sub par. However, this could soon be a thing of the past as a private company called Transit Wireless plans to roll out high speed wi-fi access to over 30 high traffic NYC subway stations. While the deployment was supposed to be finished in 2012, Hurricane Sandy caused issues delaying the full roll-out to 2014. This could make morning and evening commutes more bearable and convenient for the many New Yorkers who pass through these stations.
