February 13, 2004 – New York Times reports of Republicans attacking John Kerry in Video and E-Mail.
“Mr. Bush’s campaign posted on its Web site an advertisement-style video juxtaposing Mr. Kerry’s promises to stanch the influence of lobbyists in Washington with news articles about large numbers of donations to Mr. Kerry from lobbyists. The video gave a hint of the television advertising war to come between the two men.”
March 10, 2004 – Bush officially clinches number of delegates needed to be nominated.
July 6, 2004 – Minutes before the formal announcement, John Kerry sends an email to his supporters informing them that John Edwards is his running mate.

July 14, 2004 – The Kerry campaign accuses Bush for not reading crucial intelligence report before going to war. The campaign sent out an email with the headline ”Did anyone in the White House read the full National Intelligence Estimate on Iraq?”
July 29, 2004 – John Kerry’s accepts democratic presidential candidate nomination at the 2004 Democratic National Convention. He promotes his website for voters to learn more about his campaign.

September 2, 2004 – Bush accepted the nomination of republication candidate and selected Vice President Dick Cheney as his running mate. At the end of his speech, he encouraged listeners to view his website in order to learn more about his agenda if he wins his next presidential term.
