“Real New Yorker”

I came across these two NY1 commercials about being a “real new yorker”. The first video reminded me of the discussion during class about being nonchalant when spotting a celebrity around the city.

Bonus points for anyone who knows why it’s not pronounced like the city.

    Hint: it’s named after someone.

Wow, the “getting on the train car closest to the exit” thing describes my commute perfectly. And as an individual who has been crossing Queens Blvd. every day since I was about 14, I can assure you traffic lights are practically useless. If you plan on making it past the next red light, you better stare down that traffic.
