Buildings Paper
Building Research Paper (DUE WEDNESDAY, MARCH 23):Choose a building in New York City, any borough, and research its origins and history. Think of the building as a repository of New York stories. You can choose a residential building or institution such as a theater or church. Your research should include archival documents, historical websites, books and original interviews, if possible. Think of this exercise like solving a mystery or going on a scavenger hunt. You will write a three- to four-page paper about the history of your building. You should try to bring the building alive by writing about the people who have passed through its doors. Here is some help with resources. Also take some photographs that you can post to the blog with comments.

I used to pass this building and always mentioned to my girlfriend how much I love it. We never stopped to look at it, or even jot down it’s number. However, thanks to goggle I was able to find it and would like to take the time to reserve 190 Bowery Street for my paper.
