WE WILL NOT MEET NEXT WEEK, OCT. 2nd

Project 1 – Self Portrait

Produce a single photographic self-portrait. This may be a composite of multiple images put together into one or a single image that you have manipulated and altered in Photoshop. The effects used should have some meaningful connection to the image and the “sense” you want to invoke NOT just effects for the sake of effects.
You may also have someone else take the photo that you set up and pose in. Remember, you will not get the best shot on your first try. Part of being an artist is choosing the right image for the right feeling.

At least one image needs to have been taken this week or next week.

around size: 1920 x 1080 (landscape) or 1080×1920 (portrait)

TRADITIONAL 40′S PINUP PHOTOS WITH MODELS WEARING HIGH SPEED MILK
Frozen with high speed strobes, each image is layered from hundreds of photographs capturing splashes on real models using real milk. Inspired by iconic images from artists like Gil Elvgren, Wieczorkiewicz shoots up to 200 frames to complete an image. The frames are then layered in Photoshop and combined seamlessly to complete the dress.

Artist Assignment 1

Thinking like an artist make a list of 15 things.

That’s all you get.

Think about your list, what is this a list of, what is a list? Write it in a notebook, on the back of a napkin, or on paper… then post your list on your blog.

Good luck!
(This list has nothing to do with our first reading, it is a thinking exercise)
