What I did was to look up the weird sounds and noises on Youtube. The first video that came out was about was weird animal noises. I found that kind of interesting. The video featured sounds and auto so I decided to only listen to the sound first then watch it for a second time including the video.
I found a lot of very interesting things such as at the 1:57 part. I thought the sounds were coming from a frog type of animal but actually was a dog. Another one was at the 5:09. I was pretty sure that the sound was coming from a dog! The funny thing was that it turned out that the sound was from a bird. In addition, I found out that those noises or sounds came in different form such as different frequency.
Moreover, there could be meaning within the animals’ noises. We can also relate the sound with ourselves. In other words, we can ask the question that what will be the situation that I will make such noises. Let’s pick the first dog as an example if we see the dog like a human’s point of view, we can say that the dog is having a bad dream that makes him cry and also rejects from awaking. Like at 3:00, which is the horse’s sound, I will make that noise when I got a lot of homework to take care of and also I am tired at the same time such that I will do some boring things such as shaking my mouth in order to make some silly sounds just like the horse does.
In conclude, sounds could be very funny but also very misleading with the common judgement based on our experience with sounds. Also, I feel like as an artist, we can not make a cause and effect statement to confront our interpretation of sounds. More to that, in my opinion, the artist should not only focus on what makes the sound but also what the sounds will bring to us or enjoy the sounds as they playing around.
