Juan Esteban – currently a rising junior attending Baruch College majoring in Finance & Investments with a double minor concentration in Economics and Latin American & Caribbean Studies. I decided to take the Performing Immigration Theatre class to explore a passion and a hobby: THEATRE. The aforementioned, was left behind as I migrated from Colombia to the United States at the age of 13 with the hopes of obtaining a better socioeconomic level for my loved ones.

Today, I would like to kindly ask you to take my hand and embark with me in a journey in which we will briefly examine how an island of 3.6 million people has been able to transform  and influence theatre in the financial capital of the world while incorporating and utilizing  multicultural fragments of human beings in their most pure essence  to deliver their messages, ideas, and feelings through what is known as NUYORICAN Theatre.
