NYC Art Captured in One Avenue

There lies a plethora amount of art institutions spread throughout the streets and corners of New York City. Any individual attempting to visit every museum or art gallery, would need to spend a great deal of time in the city. However, there is one specific avenue that inhabits a handful of the top acclaimed museums in the city, and that lies on 5th Ave, specifically between 82nd St and 105th St. This strip of the city is known to some as the Museum Mile, recognized for its display of culture, including its museums and statues of historic figures.

Jeffrey Chang, from Florida, came to visit New York City, and decided to spend a day walking through the Museum Mile, and visiting the museums along 5th Avenue.
The following lists the museums that lies on Museum Mile (walking downtown):

“This Museum Mile is definitely the place to go for anyone that wants to jam-pack their day with art and culture. The walk down 5th Ave was pleasant, the museums are spaced out evenly enough, and the view of central park really just made the entire day better. It’s the perfect place to go either alone or with friends, and soak in the art culture of this city.” Jeffrey Chang

For all avid museum-goers, there is the Museum Mile Festival, an event on June 13th, 2017 from 6-9PM; admission to all the museums listed above will be free of charge and you’ll be given the opportunity to surround yourself with hundreds of fellow museum lovers!
