How Can Music Improve Productivity

1

According to the article “The Power of Music, Trapped in a Cubicle” written by Amisha Padnani, listening to music helps workers be more productive when they are in a loud and noisy environment, or when they are doing a repetitive task. Dr. Amit Sood stated that melodious sounds help the release of dopamine in the reward area of the brain. Music also makes us think of the present moment while doing work instead of thinking about the imperfections of life. Music blocks out all the annoying sounds that are made in the workplace which helps people concentrate more on their work and be more productive at it. In some studies, it shows that people that listen to music while doing work complete their tasks quicker and come up with better ideas than those who do not because music lightens their mood.

Music Lessons tied to success?

Are music lessons beneficial or detrimental to the lives of kids and adults? For kids, music lessons can bring another adult into their life, not from their family, to get life lessons and receive a lasting relationship. Playing an instrument makes children better listeners in schools, keeps them occupied so they won’t get involved in any bad situations. However, there are other people who disagree with that opinion and assert that children need to concentrate on school and music will keep them distracted and won’t be able to do school work. In the end, music can always be better and it pushes people to get better and better, always work hard, and to never give up.
