This was really interesting to look at! I had to dig deep into my memory to remember enough stuff from my days as a zoology major to follow along, but I think I got the gist of it. So basically, because the process of generating ATP to power muscles is similar between fruit flies and humans, examining how mutations in fruit flies that affect specific stages of glycolysis affect muscle development and function might one day help us put people on Mars. And when you looked, you found real differences in muscle morphology and function between the various mutants. Am I pretty close? Thanks for all the work that went into this poster!
