The New York State Assembly is looking for interns for the Spring semester. This internship is a great opportunity for students who wish to pursue his/her career in public affairs in the future. During the internship, interns will
- Get a $6,200 stipend
- Stay in Albany, working minimum 30 hours a week
- 12 credits will be allocated: 3 internship credits (POL 5452) and 3 “Special Topics” courses, for example, Legislative Politics, Urban Politics, NYC Politics.
To apply for this internship, students need to
- Complete the application form
- Two letters of recommendation
- A concise writing sample which provides a good indication of the student’s research and communication abilities
