From Team Lentol
Assemblyman Joe Lentol is running for re-election with a Democratic Primary on June 23rd. He wants to continue representing the 50th District in the New York State Assembly, which encompasses Greenpoint, Williamsburg, Fort Greene, and parts of Clinton Hill. Team Lentol is reaching out because we are building our campaign internship team and want to put together a huge intern team to play an important role in the Democratic Primary Campaign.
Are you someone who is passionate about fighting against climate change? Passionate about the fight for women’s rights, affordable housing, the need for strong gun control, the need for campaign finance reform, fighting institutional racisim and Anti-Semitism? Are you passionate about the need for fighting the Trump Agenda?
We want you to join our campaign!
**Campaign Interns**
Interns will come away from these 3 1/2 months feeling that they have accomplished something purposeful, will have connected with neighbors in their community, and also will have made great friends, all while having fun as a part of the intern community. Working side by side with the Campaign Manager and senior campaign team, these young students will be involved in crucial aspects of a political campaign.
Their months will be spent knocking on doors as a team (never alone), making phone calls, engaging with constituents, creating campaign slogans and art work, and exploring potential community partnerships.
**What makes a student a good fit for the campaign? **
(1) Students who are interested in politics and government.
(2) Students who want to be involved within their community.
(3) Students who have not yet found a spring internship and want to do something meaningful.
